Comedy at Court Street presents:
Tony V. (Seinfeld, Conan, a bunch of other things)
Brian Kiley (26 National TV appearances, 1 Emmy Award)
About the show: Tony V. and Brian Kiley are two of the funniest comedians to ever come out of Boston. If you own the Seinfeld box DVD set, you’ll recognize Tony as “Clicky the Umbrella Salesman.” If not, y0u may recognize him from his recurring role in the Show time series Brotherhood, and from his many stand up spots on TV, including on Late Night with Conan O’Brien, or from his roles on several films. He’s a regular performer at the Wang Center during Boston’s First Night Celebration, and the host of the WEEI Whiney Awards. He also spent some of the best years of his life as a “spokesgorilla” for American Tourister luggage.
Brian Kiley won his first Emmy earlier this year for Late Night with Conan O’Brien, where he’s helped write the monologue for more than a decade. Even before then, he’d started forging a reputation as one of the best comedians in the country. Two of his jokes were included in GQ Magazine’s “75 Greatest Jokes of All Time,” and he’s written for ESPN’s Espy Awards. By his estimate, he’s done 27 national television stand up sets, including multiple appearances on The Tonight Show, Conan, The Late Show with David Letterman, and (of course) Comedy Central. He taped his first Comedy Central special last year.
The opening act is Technical Difficulties, the improve troupe of the Peacock Players, the resident theater company at the Court Street Theater.
